The Birth of a Blog.
(This is what happens when a world traveler is stuck at home)

My photography skillz are the icing on top!
The first thing that crosses my mind after wasting hours sitting in my pajamas, color coordinating my text and picking out the most appealing fonts as is humanly possible, is: Seriously does anybody even read blogs?
(such an original opening I know)
Here in California the weather is getting colder (a chilly 83 degrees today), it's getting darker earlier (~7:30pm), and I am stuck in the purgatory known as finding funding for grad school. Thus in the true spirit of procrastination and boredom I turned to the world wide interweb, and this blog was born!
Here I shall share those things most dear and near to my heart such as: my wanderings through this world, things I like to eat, things I want to eat, places I love to eat, things I may cook when I find the motivation, awesome archaeological finds, good art, good coffee, good reads, good ole geekyness, a hot cup of tea, cats, and other clever things for clever people.
And lastly I have comprised this handy little list.

How to tell if this is the blog for you:
  • You are my friend.
  • You don't eat to live, you live to eat.
  • You are a globe whore (meaning that like to you get around this world)...
  • or you like to live vicariously through others travels.
  • You are open minded (trolls will be trolled right back)
  • You have a mind like a diamond (short skirt and loooong jacket optional).
  • You are any or all of the following: witty, quirky, clever, creative, artsy, nerdy...or just plain interested in the nonsense I write.

Hopefully that gives you a little idea of what this is about.
Sincerely,
Nicola the traveling trickster
